Go past the blinking pitch for books by NPR correspondents to hear the aforementioned Kamila Shamsie (she of the obituaries dream) and her fellow novelist Mohsin Hamid gamely and beautifully invest in their few minutes of airtime a richer view of Pakistan than we otherwise get.
